Airport Information Desk and Facilities

Information and Help Desk
Travelers Aid services (tel: 718 656 4870) can be found in Terminal 4, 7 and 8. Recorded information on all airport facilities, including parking, lost and found, driving directions and ground transportation, is available (tel: 718 244 4444); passengers also have the option of talking to an operator for further information. Multi-lingual customer service representatives are ready to help with directions and information; they can be easily recognised by their distinctive red jackets. Information desks can be found in all terminals.

Airport Facilities
Money and phone:
There are bureaux de change, ATMs and banks available in all terminals. Mobile phone hire is available in the Arrivals area of Terminal 3.
Eating and drinking: The airport offers a variety of bars and restaurants, located throughout the airport.
Shopping: There are various shops throughout the terminals, including duty-free at Terminal 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9.
Luggage services: Trolleys can be found in all terminals. A baggage wrapping service is available in Terminal 3. Left-luggage is available in Terminal 1 and 4. A lost property service is also available (tel: 718 244 4225/6).
Other facilities:
The airport also offers a chapel, a medical centre, a hairdresser's, baby change facilities and shoe shine.

Conference and Business Facilities
Fax, computer, photocopying and courier services are all available. These services are available to all passengers, except at Terminal 6 where they are for members only. Conference facilities for airline members are offered at Terminal 7, as well as in airline lounges; telephone contact numbers for conference facility providers can be obtained through individual airlines. Data ports can be found throughout most terminals; wireless Internet access is also available. Conference facilities are also available at the on-site Ramada Plaza Hotel (tel: 718 995 9000), which provides several meeting rooms and a business centre.

Disabled Facilities
The airport is well-equipped to accommodate disabled passengers. It is wheelchair-accessible; reserved reduced-rate parking is available in car parks close to the terminals; passengers should contact Five Star Parking for further information (tel: 718 244 4168). Disabled toilets are available in each terminal and TDD telephones are clearly-signposted throughout the terminals. Hand-operated cars can be hired from Avis or Hertz.
